Wonderful people here. My son came here for an eye exam years ago. Dr Poe examined him and gave him a prescription without even mentioning that we could get the glasses at his office until I asked. So we did. My glasses frame was broken on Sunday when the snow storm just started. The snow storm shut everything down on Monday. I was afraid no eye care place will be open today. But when I called, Leigh answered the phone cheerfully and told me to stop by before 5 pm. Dr Poe fixed my glasses in a few minutes and didn’t charge me anything.

Sound Beach Optiks is a world-class facility with the latest technology, very competent staff, and vast selection of designer frames. Dr. Poe is both professional and incredibly nice. He had a sample of contacts in my prescription in-stock, and also ordered a second sample free-of-charge. I give my highest recommendation to this facility and hope to be a patient for many years to come.

Wow. What an excellent experience I had here today. I went in not knowing if they would help clean my half frameless glasses which most other places wouldn't do and they did it right away no questions asked! I highly recommend this place for any and all of your optical needs including great customer service.

I figured I would finally write a review on an establishment I have respected for 12+ years since no one has written one recently (probably because they assume everyone has written 5 star reviews so no need). Dr. Poe is beyond fantastic. He has worked with me on my ridiculous desire to manage distance and close up vision and then his wonderful colleague Leigh manages glasses and will fit you perfectly for what you need AND what works for your face! Keep that in mind. Few places will actually be honest with you and will simply push most expensive- Leigh does not. Fantastic place and you are in perfect hands. I will always come here.

Dr. Poe and staff are excellent. On my first visit Dr. Poe diagnosed that I had been wearing a lens that was too small for my eye. He found a better option, ordered them for me, and immediately my issues with contacts falling out, or becoming mis-aligned during the day were solved.

Great opticians! High quality selection of frames (ie, NOT lensecrafters!!). Great service and very friendly staff. I'm a repeat customer and the next time I need glasses, I'm going back!

Super friendly and always have availability! Plus they have cool equipment such that you don't need to have your eyes dilated nor do you need to have the puff of air shot at your eyes :)
